Frequently asked questions
Is an e-signature valid in Switzerland?
Most contracts are not subject to any particular form, so a simple electronic signature, together with its audit trail, serves as evidence. For deeds that require written form, such as a guarantee or a non-compete clause, only a qualified electronic signature (QES) is equivalent to a handwritten one. Sign doesn't offer QES yet. If in doubt, ask a legal professional.
Do my signers need an account?
No. They receive a secure link by email and sign online by drawing or typing their signature.
How much does it cost?
The free plan lets you send 3 documents a month, with as many signers as you need. Paid plans for regular or team use are planned.
Are my documents confidential?
Yes. Documents are stored privately, each organisation is isolated from the others, and signing links expire and can be revoked.
Can I cancel a document I've sent?
Yes, from your dashboard, as long as not all signatures have been collected.
